ACWD’s Customer Service counter at our Grimmer Boulevard headquarters in Fremont is open weekdays between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and we are available to assist customers who wish to pay their bills and have account inquiries.
The Engineering counter is open Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
1) Customers dropping off applications – preferably, mail in the completed application with any needed payments by check. Alternatively, use front drop box to deposit application and check, or email completed application and send check by mail.
2) Customers making payments for fees, charges, deposits, etc. – preferably, mail in check. Receipt will be mailed. Alternatively, drop check in front drop box and receipt will be sent.
3) Customers who need to review their development or site plans with Engineering – call to make an appointment and an engineer or technician will contact you.
4) Customers who have questions – call 510.668.4499 during business hours or send an email.
The Engineering Department is made up of three divisions, Development Services, Project Engineering and Information Technology.
The Development Services Division assists customers and developers needing new or modified water services or extensions to the public water system. It also handles distribution system related records, design and construction standards, and property related issues such as annexations and easements.
The Project Engineering Division develops, implements, and manages ACWD’s Capital Improvement Program. It designs and constructs facilities that support the operation and maintenance activities of the district.
The Information Technology Division provides administration, maintenance, and support of the District’s computing environment, including business and enterprise software, servers, desktop and mobile computing systems, local and wide area networks, Geographic Information Systems and telecommunications.
