The Water Resources Department includes water supply and planning, water conservation and groundwater management.
The Groundwater Resources Department manages the Niles Cone Groundwater Basin. Since approximately 40% of the water used in the Tri-City area originates in the Niles Cone, ACWD protects and manages this important resource to ensure a reliable supply of high quality water that satisfies present and future municipal, industrial, recreational, and agricultural water needs in the ACWD service area.
