We also offer online resources, a free water education school assembly and water education training for teachers in Fremont, Newark, and Union City schools.

Win a Scholarship for Water Research!

The Alameda County Water District and 8 other water and wastewater agencies are proud sponsors of the Alameda County Science & Engineering Fair's Excellence in Water, Wastewater and Recycled Water Research Award!

Over $1,000 in scholarships will be awarded to students for their innovative, water-centric projects. Learn about contest requirements at www.acsef.org.

Important Dates

  • November 30, 2025: Deadline for Early Registration and Applications
    • On the application, students with projects focused on water must select the award category for Water, Wastewater and Recycled Water Research.
  • March 14, 2026: Judging Day at Chabot College
  • March 21, 2026 Awards Ceremony
