Project WET Workshop & ACWD Fish Ladder Facility Tour

  1. Project WET Workshop & ACWD Fish Ladder Facility Tour
  2. Saturday, October 21, 8:30 am-3:00 pm
  3. Hello Educators!  We're so excited to have you on board for our teacher training! The training is in-person at the Alameda County Water District main office and will include a tour of our newly completed fish ladder along the lower section of Alameda Creek.

The fish ladder is part of the Lower Alameda Creek Fish Passage Program - an $80 million investment spanning two decades of multi-agency partnership to protect the environment and wildlife of the creek and ensure water supply reliability for the people of Fremont, Newark and Union City. Teachers will get a behind-the-scenes look at ACWD's installation of state-of-the-art fish screens, ladders and technology to enhance the migration conditions of steelhead trout, a threatened fish species.
