Kaiser Pond Diversion Pipe Improvement

Kaiser Pond Diversion Pipe Improvement Project

This groundwater recharge pond is divided by a levee along the Hayward Fault, which also divides the groundwater basin in two.  The diversion pipe that allows water to flow from the east segment of the pond to the west is need of replacement.  ACWD will construct a reinforced concrete box culvert through the levee to improve connectivity between the two segments.

Location:

In the City of Fremont, adjacent to the Alameda Creek Flood Control Channel in the vicinity of Von Euw Common and the Union Pacific Railroad tracks.
